Slotted Pipe Skimmers

Wawcon slotted pipe skimmers are used in a variety of applications to remove scum, etc. from the surface of a basin. They can be either manually rotated or via a motorized system. We have used them in clarifiers, digesters, thickeners, aeration basins and chlorine basins.

The skimmer and related components can be manufactured from steel and hot dip galvanized or from various grades of stainless steel.

This drawing shows a replacement set of slotted pipe skimmers, fitted into an existing clarifier that has a reciprocating skimmer arm running along the surface.
