Stainless Steel Weirs, Troughs & Baffles

Wawcon’s standard for effluent weirs and baffles is to use stainless steel. We recommend the use of concrete troughs if the basin is concrete, there life is better than all but stainless and the cost is usually less than stainless.

On a typical concrete trough application our weirs are made from 14Ga. 304 or 316 Stainless, the baffles are 10Ga. 304 or 316 stainless, with adjustable wall supports made from ¼” thick 304 or 316 stainless. All anchorage and fasteners are of the same material as the weirs and baffles.

This photo shows a set of these stainless weirs and baffles mounted on a concrete trough, along with a full surface scum ramp and a large skimmer arm, on a 100’ diameter clarifier.
