Draft Tube Aeration

Wawcon makes draft tube Aeration when you need either less submergence in a deeper basin or better mixing is needed.

The draft tube and related components can be made of steel and hot dip galvanized or made from various grades of stainless steel. The draft tube can use our standard diffusers if transfer efficiency is needed or from perforated drop pipes if mixing, such as a digester is needed. See the “Diffused Aeration” section if you want to know more about the diffusers.

The attached drawing shows how we incorporated a new draft tube into an existing clarifier basin, in order to make a digester.
